Image939-triangle choke
The standard triangle choke is unique because it is performed by one who is lying on their back, usually in guard or half-guard position. A simple synopsis of executing a proper triangle choke would be: 1. grab and secure the right arm of the opponent who is on top of you, 2. hook your right leg around the left side of of your opponents neck and across their back, 3. lock your right foot under your left knee by placing your right foot under your left knee and then bending your left leg downward, 4. the actual choke is performed from this position by using one hand to keep their right arm straight and secure and using your other hand on the back of your opponents head and pulling it toward you
